At the beginning, we were driven by the desire to humanize the world full of plastic bags, which we take home with us from our shopping trips and which we stumble upon every day. We tried to discover coherence between objects that at first do not bear any relation, and we believed in opening a new reality of things whose purpose has not been clearly recognized.
In the case of Mimy, these ideas reflected in the shape of the vase and the bowl. The practical bag handle decorates the simple shape of the cylinder, showing how this detail can be enhanced by another color of glass. The shape of this work of art follows the natural properties of the material. The technology of this set teaches everybody to recognize that the glass itself will reveal what it is suitable for. Since this collection was LLEV´s first to be manufactured in lots, we named her Mimy, which means
“a baby” in English.
